We are dedicated to providing high-quality spay and neuter surgical services at an affordable price. Each year Thousands of animals are euthanized in U.S. shelters due to lack of homes. Owner, Medical Director
Dr. Mocko grew up in Northern Virginia. She attended Mary Baldwin College and received her DVM from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Class of 1996). While honing her skills in private practice, Dr. Mocko volunteered as the Medical Director for Alley Cat Allies's TNR clinic for 10 years. After she met her husband, she moved to Maryland and has been in Bowie ever since. She has worked as a shelter veterinarian and the medical director of a high-volume spay & neuter clinic. She has trained at the ASPCA's spay/neuter clinic in Asheville, NC (formerly Humane Alliance). Dr. Mocko does have a particular fondness for cats, especially tortoiseshells and calicoes and is irked that the State of Maryland doesn't know the difference (or that the calico is not a breed of cat.)
Office Manager
Rachel grew up in Upstate New York. She attended SUNY Oneonta where she graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Anthropology. Over the last 10 years Rachel has been learning and growing her skills while working her way from receptionist to surgical assistant to manager. When she's not working, she loves to spend time with her husband and rescue pets, Buckley an Australian Shepherd mix and Aurora a Torbie.
